The limestone note is what surprised me most—it gives this tea a clean, mineral edge that feels genuinely rustic. The sandalwood shows up later, soft and warm, making each cup feel more layered than the last. Glad I grabbed this first harvest from Chirrapani.
The limestone note is what got me—it’s so earthy and grounding, balanced perfectly by that soft sandalwood undertone. Brewed it up this morning and the rustic character really shines through, like a walk through the hills. Glad I grabbed this inaugural batch before it’s gone.
That candied lemon peel really comes through in the finish, and the limestone mineral edge keeps it from being just another sweet cup. Brewed it up gongfu style and it held its character through several steeps, which surprised me for a first harvest. Glad I grabbed this LTO while it was around.
