Slanke naaldvormige bladeren produceren een diep plantaardige smaak en aroma, rijp met tonen van geroosterde rijst en nori. Geoogst in de lente tot vroege zomer in de opkomende regio Kagoshima, worden de bladeren tot in de perfectie gestoomd om oxidatie van het blad te stoppen en hun diepe jadegroene kleur en smaak vast te houden.
The broth is so deeply vegetal it’s almost savory, with that nori umami lingering well after each sip. Those slender needles brewed up clean and smooth, not a hint of bitterness even at three minutes.
